HACKERSPACES WELCOME!

The biennial Hackers on Planet Earth conference in New York City has been uniting thousands hackers throughout the world for nearly two decades. Since the first Hackerspace Village in 2008, HOPE has been at the forefront of the Hackerspace movement in North America.

At HOPE Number Nine, more floor space than ever is being devoted to Hackers, Makers and everyone gathering together in their communities to collaborate on awesome art, science and technology.  Now is your turn to come to New York City, show the world what your space is up to and find new collaborators from around the world!

CALL FOR PROJECTS FOR THE HACKERSPACE VILLAGE

We're looking for 20 Hackerspaces to show the world awesome cutting edge projects and collaborative tech.  Whether it's a trans-continental balloons, DNA computer, cube satellite, and all the open-source lathes, mills, 3D Printers, laser cutters, pick-and-place and every possible machine in between you use to make awesome things, bring it to NYC and show it to the world! Write a brief message to hackerspace@hope.net with:

  1.     What your project is, in 30 words or less
  2.     Why the world needs to know about it, in 300 words or less
  3.     Necessary floor space, power requirements and other details
